MIE’s Access to Information Guide
Compliance with the Access to Information Act
MIE complies with the requirements of the Access to Information Act (ATIA), which aims to promote proactive disclosure of strategic and operational processes within public institutions. The Institute has established systems to ensure the smooth implementation of the ATI Act. Additionally, MIE is responsible for submitting an annual report on the implementation of the Act to the Minister of Information.

The Institute’s designated Information Officer (IO) is responsible for managing the processing, storage, retrieval, and dissemination of information in accordance with the provisions of the Access to Information (ATI) Act. The current IO is Mr. Joshua Yagontha Munthali.
