
The Acting Executive Director of the Malawi Institute of Education (MIE), Mr. Jennings Kayira, has reaffirmed the Institution’s commitment to sustaining employee motivation initiatives through various incentive and recognition awards.

Speaking during an award presentation ceremony held on 8 July 2026, Mr. Kayira said the employee motivation initiative seeks to recognize and appreciate staff members for their dedication and hard work. He noted that the program is designed to enhance productivity, encourage excellence, and strengthen teamwork across the institution.
As part of the initiative, MIE recognized Mr. Eric Chiwere of the Print Section as the Employee of the Month for May 2026 in recognition of his outstanding performance and commitment to duty.

Mr. Chiwere received a certificate of recognition, a trophy, and a cash prize of MK200,000.
In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Chiwere expressed sincere gratitude to the Acting Director and MIE management for the recognition. He described the award as a source of motivation that inspires employees to remain committed to excellence and contribute meaningfully to the institution’s goals.
The Employee of the Month initiative forms part of MIE’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of appreciation, professionalism, and high performance among its workforce.
