The Malawi Institute of Education (MIE) on Friday, July 22, 2022 received a vehicle donation, Toyota Prado TX from the British Commission to be used in curriculum development activities. In his statement during a handover ceremony at the British Commission’s offices, Mr Dan Pine said that the commission is always excited to support the Government of Malawi and its departments in issues of national importance. The donation comes at a time when MIE is conducting a numeracy programme through the Ministry of Education. While receiving the Donation, Mr MacDonald Lisimba, representing the Executive Director for MIE applauded the Commission for the gesture, saying the donation will ease transportation at MIE during Numeracy programme and other curriculum related activities. The Department of Quality Assurance Services (DQAS) and Education Planning Directorate are other departments in the Ministry of Education that have benefited from this donation.
