On 30 April, the Malawi Institute of Education (MIE) honoured Mr. Alick Kondowe from the Kitchen and Catering Section as Staff of the Month for March, following a staff performance assessment conducted across departments.
Presenting the award, the Executive Director noted that the Staff of the Month initiative is designed to motivate employees to remain dedicated and committed to their responsibilities, ultimately ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the institute.
Receiving the award, Mr. Kondowe expressed deep appreciation, describing the recognition as rare and highly meaningful.

“Since I joined MIE in 2015, I have never received such recognition. I am very happy that, for the first time, my hard work and efforts have been noticed by management. “I am grateful to management for this gesture. It will keep employees motivated and encourage us to continue working hard,” he said.
Mr. Kondowe also encouraged fellow staff members to remain committed and resilient in their duties.
The Staff of the Month Award is one of MIE’s measures aimed at promoting recognition, motivation, and a strong work ethic among employees.
