Strengthening Digital Capacity at MIE

The Malawi Institute of Education (MIE) has successfully concluded a two-day Microsoft 365 training aimed at strengthening staff productivity and enhancing collaboration through modern  digital tools. All departments from Corporate Services, Finance, Curriculum Development, Research Planning and Policy Studies and Education Material Production and Resource Unit attended.

The training, facilitated by Nico Technologies, took place at the MIE Hall from Saturday, 21 February to Sunday, 22 February 2026. The programme focused on equipping participants with practical skills in essential Microsoft 365 applications to improve workflow efficiency, document management, communication, and teamwork across departments.

Throughout the session, staff engaged in hands-on exercises using their laptops, exploring tools such as Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and OneDrive. This interactive approach ensured that participants gained real-time experience in applying digital solutions to support day-to-day institutional operations.

This initiative forms part of MIE’s ongoing commitment to strengthening digital capacity and modernising its internal systems in alignment with its strategic objectives.
